The Vesper Martini

Vesper Martini

You Need a Break!

You have James Bond to thank for this one; the drink was created by author Ian Fleming, who included the recipe in his 1953 book Casino Royale (or the 2006 movie), calling specifically for Gordon’s gin and Kina Lillet.

Named after the seductive double agent Vesper Lynd, it is possibly the most famous drink order in history and extremely precise.

Ingredients

3 ounces gin
1 ounce vodka
1/2 ounce Lillet Blanc, or dry vermouth
Lemon peel, for garnish

"Shaken, Not Stirred"

In a cocktail shaker, combine gin, vodka, and Lillet Blanc or dry vermouth.

Shake well and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

Garnish with a large piece of lemon peel.

Pat yourself on the back and enjoy your well deserved break!
